Hello and welcome

I design contemporary needlework patterns incorporating mainly hand embroidery, appliqué and home sewing. And I bring out a quarterly digital hand embroidery publication called The Stitch & Thimble, with five new and original projects in each edition as well as a host of  needlework-related features - from trivia and reviews to an in-depth look at stitches, a feature-length article and photographic, step-by-step how to.

My ultimate intention is to help keep the art of needlework alive and evolving by coming up with fresh, contemporary designs as well as functional applications for those designs as often as possible. And my embroidery patterns make full use of the vast array of stitches out there, as well as a few I've adapted or reworked along the way.
