CONTEMPORARY SURFACE EMBROIDERY DESIGN

To combat my frustration at what I perceived to be a lack of available contemporary embroidery designs, I began drawing on traditional techniques to come up with fresh and original needlework projects. My style can be summed up as contemporary creative surface embroidery - an ecclectic approach that simply means you'll find hints of Jacobean embroidery or crewelwork, mountmellick, raised and padded stitching, appliqué and other needlecraft techniques in my designs for hand embroidery projects.

"It's clear to see she's not scared of experimenting!" - Charlie Moorby, CrossStitcher magazine

"I like the way you use a mixture of techniques and stitches to come up with such striking results." - Leonie, Australia

"I have felt this same frustration, and I am so glad I found your site. Keep up the great work!" - Paige, email
